About Dr. Moustafa Elsheshtawy
Moustafa Elsheshtawy, MD, is a board-certified physician in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases currently practicing at New York Medical and Vascular Care. He is also board certified in echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography imaging, and nuclear cardiology.
After finishing his internal medicine residency, Dr. Elsheshtawy has completed his general cardiology training at Maimonides Medical Center and his advanced cardiovascular intervention fellowship at Mount Sinai Morningside and Beth Israel Medical Centers.
During his training, Dr. Elsheshtawy was elected the chair of the New York State Resident and Fellow Section at the Medical State Society of New York. He was also appointed as a Downstate Cardiology Fellow Liaison at the American College of Cardiology New York State Council.
Dr. Elsheshtawy is affiliated with Mount Sinai Health System, Lenox Hill Hospital, and Maimonides Medical Center. He performs and interprets physiologic and non-invasive studies and performs high-end complex invasive cardiology and endovascular procedures as part of his daily practice.
He has always been an advocate for his patients and the quality of the health care delivered to the population of New York State. Consequently, he was elected a delegate of New York State to the American Medical Association. Currently, Dr. Elsheshtawy is the president and medical director of New York Medical and Vascular Care and strives to provide the best care for his patients.

I was satisfied with my visit. The doctor and staff were very attentive. They answered all my questions and explained all tests they performed. I would recommend and will return.

The wait time was excessive at times. The staff was good and the doctor was also good. Check in was easy, but I ended up having to leave after 90 mins without everything I was supposed to do. I would recommend them overall but just note that you should expect it to possibly take a bit longer than you might expect/hope,

The only Dr that has really helped me so far after having my vitals high daily for a decade. Due to having anxiety meds that I take sometimes when my body is extremely stressed I was left with my bp up,horrible palps&my heart 130,140 daily&was told anxiety every office visit by other Drs. I’ve had so many health issues from being left in bad shape for so long to the degree I struggled to stand(my heart felt so strained).I made some improvement on my own this past year&hoping my health slowly improves.I was finally given a medication to try that helps some&just had my dose raised today. I’m in an extremely stressed situation where some days are worse than others&glad I finally got put on a medication.I wish I could’ve seen this Dr when I was worse&saw him years ago is my only gripe. I felt he tested me throughly,is down to earth,not judgmental,listens&actually tries to help.
