Dr. Nahil Chohan is a psychiatrist working in Brooklyn who provides online video visits to patients in New York State. She treats patients with depression, anxiety, concentration issues, history of trauma, disordered eating, irrational fears, mood swings, panic attacks, and sleep disorders.
Dr. Chohan received her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Dr. Chohan is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has extensive experience working with individuals fighting drug addiction, struggling with trauma, bipolar disorder, and other mental illnesses. To ease her patients’ access to treatment, she provides online video visits and in-person treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
At the time of booking with ZocDoc, I will outreach you and provide a 15 min free consultation.
This 15 min consultation allows us to ensure we are a good fit and review practice policies.
Our first initial evaluation is typically 45 minutes to 60 minutes long and the follow up sessions are typically 30 minutes each.
Upon our free 15 min consultation, we can decide together if you would benefit from a 45 minute or 60 minute initial evaluation based on your needs.
Typically, 60 minute evaluations are a one time fee of $500, however, we are able to accommodate a discounted rate of $375 for a 45 min evaluation.
Follow up sessions thereafter are typically 30 minutes and at a rate of $250 per session.

This was actually a virtual appointment and the Doctor was prompt, knowledgeable, empathetic, professional, and kind. Wish she took my insurance, but even the one appointment was very helpful.
