Dr. Turlapati is a diligent ophthalmologist looking after the communities of Bowie and Silver Spring, MD, and Washington, DC. Dr. Turlapati attended Northwestern University, where she completed her medical degree. She completed her internship at the University of Illinois, Chicago and then her residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Turlapati also completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children's National Medical Center. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Their system did not work with Zocdoc. Little to no communication about requested forms (especially the referral, which was sent multiple times). After a couple consultations, I had an operation planned that was cancelled less than a week before and without a new date for multiple months (after having to call the office several times to get this information). They have ignored all electronic communication. Dr. Turlapati seems perfectly nice, but I could not recommend them with the current state of the office

I can’t find a place for my TBI I’ve tried for months and I mean ALOT of months denial of treatment for something so serious which is life changing

Dr. Turlapati was nice and thorough but I have reasons to believe that they aren’t sanitizing their rooms/equipment as often as they should. This is concerning considering our current health crisis and basic hygiene for a medical facility.

Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Physician was running slightly behind but was apologetic. I found her to be pleasant, efficient and forthcoming with information pertinent to my care. Office environment clean and orderly.

Dr. Turlapati is incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. She took the time to hear my concerns, thoroughly reviewed them, offered a treatment plan, and scheduled a follow-up.
My appoint scheduled through ZocDoc was confirmed on my end, but their system in the office didn’t show it. Despite this, the incredible ladies at the front desk honored my appointment and fit me in. Truly incredible experience.

My first visit with Dr. Tulapati and it was wonderful. The staff was very nice at check in and quite efficient. The Medical Assistant that took care of me before seeing the doctor was amazing. She was so professional and very knowledgable about her job. She kept me informed about everything that was going on throughout my appointment and i was grateful for that. Her demeanor was pleasant and she had a wonderful personality. I will say the same for
Dr. Turlapati. The doctor was so pleasant and professional. I would reccomend this practice to everyone. I am glad that I can also take my 8 year old there as well.
