About Dr. Regino Flora
Regino Flora, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1997 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University, completed in 1992.
Raised in Napoleon, Ohio, Dr. Flora graduated from Napoleon High School before moving to the Chicagoland area, where he has lived and practiced for over 25 years. His interest in optometry began in his youth when he required vision care and admired his doctor's passion for the profession. This experience inspired him to pursue a career as an optometrist. He says the best part of being an optometrist is forming meaningful relationships with his associates and patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Flora enjoys playing golf, listening to music, and following The Ohio State Athletics, Chicago Bears football, as well as classic arcade gaming and memorabilia.

The doctor was fine and seemed knowledgeable, but the overall experience was disappointing due to the staff. The front desk team was not very friendly or organized.
During my visit, I was fit for a single-side contact lens without being informed there would be an additional $xxx charge . I was told they would call when the lenses arrived, but I never received a call. When I followed up by phone, I was told I could come in to pick them up.
However, when I arrived, the staff’s attitude was unhelpful. The receptionist simply pointed across the room. I was later told I needed an appointment to pick them up. something I was never told before.
It was an unorganized and confusing experience overall. I hope they can improve their communication and customer service moving forward.

Dr.Flora give one of the best eye exams I have ever had. He takes the time to answer your questions on your level and you total understand. He shows me my eye pictures and answered all of my questions. I was extremely impressed and my next appointment will definitely be with Dr. Flora. Everyone took their time to explain my options regarding contacts. The training was so helpful and they also scheduled a follow up appointment after my first week trial. I honestly thought it was a waste of time at first, but so thankful they did, since my 1st set did not workout. I was impressed with the staff, the training and Dr. Flora. He made me feel comfortable while explaining my issues, and actually listened to my concerns. Thank you!

Dr Flora was great. He spent a lot of time with me so I can have a clearer vision in New glasses. The new system made it harder to check out as my insurance info wasn't coming up even though I have the info to the office days before. I will gladly see Dr Flora again.

No downtime or waiting with detailed explanation

Well, when I called to get an appointment a week ago I was told there were none till end of December so I was going to go to another practice as I needed my eye exam. The very next day I received a text telling me I was overdue and if I wanted an appt to click the link. It got me in on Dec 7th. I’m not sure the disconnect between the text platform and the front desk. Loved the convenience of the text reminder(best queued for a month prior to when due instead of a month later IMO) and online appt option. Your challenge is access to care for those that don’t plan ahead more than a month. PS this is most of us—especially millennials. Please note Dr Flores is phenomenal. I’ve had great eye exams but he really explained how to navigate thru the exam as a pt and know the response given was the correct one for you. He is professional, appropriately engaging, listens to the pt, is collaborative and clearly enjoys his job. You are lucky to have him. In the future I only want to see him or Dr Fo

I am not one to like eye exams. The staff and Dr. Flora make things so incredibly easy with their kindness and knowledge. Every step of the exam is CLEARLY explained to me. The results are CLEARLY explained to me by Dr. Flora. Just a great experience.
