About Dr. Rey Gayo
Dr. Rey Gayo is a passionate Chiropractor at Active Physical Therapy and Chiropractic Group dedicated to providing patient-centered care. He is a physically active individual who can relate to injuries that prevent patients from fully participating in their daily activities.
After many years as a fitness trainer and massage therapist, Dr. Rey obtained his B.S. degree in biology from Kean University, and ultimately a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. During his graduate education, Dr. Rey gained invaluable experience treating Division 2 NCAA athletes and patients from the surrounding communities at the UBCC outpatient clinic. Furthermore, he achieved full body certifications in Active Release Technique and TPI Level 1, as well as Webster Technique for pregnant women, well before graduation. After graduation, he attained certifications in Graston and Biomechanics.
Dr. Rey has volunteered for many high level sporting events as part of their wellness teams. Some of these events include the U.S. Open Golf Championships, U.S. pro beach volleyball, Ironman Lake Placid, and local marathon and triathlon races.
Today, Dr. Rey splits time between Fairfield, CT and New York, NY with his beautiful and supportive wife and son. When he is not spending quality time with his family, he enjoys golf, fitness, indoor cycling, and basketball. He is constantly striving to expand upon his certifications in chiropractic subspecialties to enable him to provide the absolute best care for his patients.

I unfortunately pulled a muscle while working out and came to Dr. Gayo adjustments. he helped me by doing some tissue therapy which eased the pain a lot.

I had been dealing with persistent lower back pain for over six months before I finally decided to visit Dr. Gayo. He sent me to get an x ray and was able to get to the diagnosis of Lumbar face joint dysfunction and mild sciatica.

Came in with migraine and cocked jaws. Dr. Gayo's treatment approach is soft and approachable. I was a bit scared of neck adjustment. But Dr. Gayo ease everything into it. My migraine much improved now.

Dr Gayo helped me with my tendonitis. I love to play golf and tennis and was in pretty bad shape after every game. The laser therapy and shackware treatment really helped and I would so back again. Great office.

My shoulder has been hurting lately. With Dr. Gayo's help we were able to see it was rotator cuff related. Dr. Gayo was able to treat me right away. He even used shockware therapy which helped tremendously. Cannot recommend enough!

I've been experiencing the worst shoulder pain for about 4 months and working out was making it worse. Dr. Gayo helped loosen it up and adjusted it. It felt great and I continue to go to office for regular chiropractic and acupuncture.

I used to work in construction, and by 25 my back felt like it belonged to a 50 year old. I was dealing with chronic Lumbar strain from years of heavy lifting and physical labor. Dr. Gayu took the time to really listen to my symptoms, explain what was going on, and walk me through a personalized treatment plan. After a few visits, my headaches automatically improved. I've been dealing with TMJ pain for a while, jaw tension, headaches, and trouble sleeping. After seeing Dr. Gayo, I experienced lasting relief for the first time. He's incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and explains everything so clearly. You can tell he clearly cares about his patients.
