“Doctor was very knowledgeable. Had decent bedside manner; he seemed a little annoyed when I asked questions initially, but made sure that he answered all of my questions in the end. Lack of communication re: paperwork (i.e., scans, x-rays) ahead of appointment. For example, I emailed scans/reports ahead of time because I wanted to make sure the doctor had access to them (and knew this would be a problem), but when I arrived and asked the front desk about them, it didn't seem like the images were added to my chart. It worked out in the end but I had to show the doctor images on my laptop. Office was nice, staff was friendly and helpful, doctor was overall good.”

“Dr. Gupta was exceptional. He was efficient but thorough and explained very clearly what was wrong with my finger, and what the best next steps were. It was clear he was very knowledgeable, and I would highly recommend him for anyone having hand issues.
On top of this, the staff were very friendly and attentive.

About Dr. Salil Gupta
Dr. Gupta is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in treating the hand and the upper extremity.
Dr. Salil Gupta was born in New York City and grew up in Long Island, New York. He graduated Brown University Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Political Science and was elected into Phi Beta Kappa.
Dr. Gupta attended the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, during which time he was awarded an Urban Health Care Fellowship and elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Upon completion of medical school, he obtained his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases. During his residency, he completed specialized training in trauma surgery at Seattle's Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Gupta completed his Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital's C.V. Starr Hand Surgery Center. He also completed a specialized fellowship in Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Dr. Gupta serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine as well as an active member of the Hand Service at the Hospital for Joint Diseases.
Dr. Gupta is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. His research has been presented at multiple international and national meetings and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Hand Surgery, Techniques in Shand Elbow Surgery, Hand Clinics, and the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma
