“The staff was wonderful the first person I saw was Jeannette & she did some preliminary eye tests. She was very professional & gave clear directions of what was expected of me and then complimented me on doing a good job. Then I saw doctor Jalag, he looked over my information & asked me pertinent questions. My questions were answered with easy explanations & back & forth conversations. He had a very good “bedside” manner and was very pleasant to talk with. I highly recommend this office, doctor & staff!”

Dr. Sanjai Jalaj earned his Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Columbia University. He further specialized with a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Having trained at some of the leading institutions around the country, he has returned home to provide the latest in medical care to the community. Dr. Jalaj has a particular focus on cataract surgery, LASIK, corneal transplantation, and crosslinking for keratoconus, in addition to managing glaucoma and retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.

The appointment was amazing . I had been to other doctors about my cataracts who made me wait three hours , and then were rude and told me to come back! This Dr and all staff were professional, polite and wonderful! I could not recommend him more highly than I have done! Yippee! I’m going to see again!

The doctor was nice and knowledgeable however the receptionist was rude. Got there for my appointment and was told that because they overbooked the time, they had to move me to an appointment thirty minutes later. I never received a phone call or alert. When I spoke to the receptionist when I arrived she had a lot of attitude when talking to me and other patients. Other staff was attentive and kind. But wait time was not the greatest.

The doctor was unable to diagnose my problem, which was disappointing after an hour long wait. Office staff was friendly enough though and the doctor himself seemed friendly as well.

As a first time patient, my overall experience was excellent. Even with the unfortunate roadwork, that blocked the street the building is on, it delayed the staff members and scheduled patients. The doctor and staff, however, were able to get themselves into the rhythm of their duties - keeping a friendly and professional persona. I highly recommend this group.

doctor jalad is one of the best eye doctors i have seen. he almost spent an hour with me. he did my test multiple times just to confirm if i had a vision problem with my right eye or not. he cares for his patients a lot. i am glad i got an appointment with him.

Dr. Jalaj did competent & caring surgery to transplant the endothelium on my right eye (Fuchs' Dystrophy). I see colors more vividly and black print darker. I thank God, Dr. Jalaj, and all staff in Livingston & Denville.
