Dr. Shahed Quraishi is an amicable pediatric cardiologist and runs his practice at Ridgewood and Staten Island, NY. 10/10. I called earlier to ask about some paperwork and he was quick to answer and polite. The phone interaction helped me feel better about what to expect from the dr. since he was friendly. When we arrived at the dr office no one was at reception but it was not hard to figure out where to sign in etc. we did wait a little bit but the patients were all in and out in a timely manner so it didn’t feel like we were stuck waiting forever. They ran a couple of tests during his appt. It was nice not having to go somewhere else. The dr himself was great! No complaints he was friendly with our son (5)and included him in the process. Told him what was going to happen (child friendly version) it definitely helped keep him calm.Very efficient. He asked some questions and listened to our answers. He listened to our questions and took the time to answer in a way that we would understand what he was saying. Even drew us a picture so we could visualize his words. highly recommend very knowledgeable

I realize it was the end of the day, but we waited for close to an hour and when we got to see the doc, it seemed like the entire staff was in the room to see an interaction with a kid for a totally normal appointment.

I'm a healthcare provider so my perspective is both clinical and personal. Knowledgeable MD, great bedside manner, and efficient. He directed questions to my 16yo and took the time to educate my son and I during the echo making my son an active participant in his care. This doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. He was very personable with my son. He provided me with clear information about what was son was experiencing and any future treatment needed. The doctor was even accommodating and nice about my error in booking this appointment far from where I live. He stated that he would wait for me if I was running late because I was coming from far. Luckily, I made it to my appointment only a few minutes late and my wait was very short, which I understood because I was late. Highly recommend because of the friendliness and clarity alone. Caring, knowledgeable, kind doctor with excellent bedside manners. Explained every detail to my daughter and us, her parents, in a calm and reassuring manner. He performed all the necessary tests explaining every step of the way. A huge burden of our shoulder was lifted after seeing Dr. Quraishi. We brought her to his office after a visit with a different arrogant doctor, who saw her for 2 minutes and alarmed us with the diagnosis. Thank God we decided to seek a second opinion from a pediatric cardiologist like Dr. Quraishi. Wonderful experience. Thank you!

You can’t ask for more professional , compassionate and friendly Doctor . He spent more than 30 minutes explaining my son’s diagnosis, reassured him , drew his heart and made him comprehend what is wrong with him and how it will be fixed . Then he scheduled the follow up invasive procedure.
Amazing experience . Dr Qureshi is a gift to the community of Ridgewood . I hope his patients do appreciate him and his work .

Dr. Quraishi was patient, kind and friendly to my child and myself. He walked me through the prognosis in detail and drew a diagram to help me understand, and explained what he was doing in a child-appropriate way. I trust his diagnosis and recommendations. We were able to get an appointment very quickly and the office staff was very efficient, helpful and kind. Though we were there for two hours, that is probably due to the fact that the doctor is in this location only one day a week and we scheduled an appointment after school.

The doctor was very nice and explained what he was looking for during the visit. The only thing I have to complain about was I booked an appointment at 1pm and was informed the doctor was not coming until 1:30, to then see all the patients that were waiting prior to me with earlier times. This didn’t make sense to me at all. I was also told only cash and checks were excepted. This again a total inconvenience had I been told I would have been prepared
