This has been addressed with Zocdoc and they two amazing representatives handled my concerns with care and expertise!
This appointment was different (in a good way) from the start; I was contacted to clarify something to do with my insurance, the reminders came in as expected, and the Zoom call had one person on each end of it. I will definitely see this practice/provider again.”

Where to begin ?? Booked a psychiatrist on ZocDoc for a Tuesday—turns out they only work every other Saturday. I didn’t even see a psychiatrist—just a family doctor who asked the same mental health screening I already filled out online. I was out of meds (with withdrawal symptoms) and told I’d have to wait another 48 hours to see someone else. Every time I called, I got a new person, a new story, and a new hurdle. They required an EKG and urine test just to prescribe Prozac—a med I’ve taken for over a year and that primary care doctors hand out without issue. Nothing about these requirements was listed on ZocDoc. They canceled my next appointment 2 hours before because I hadn’t done their ever-growing list of screenings. I’ve never seen a practice this disorganized. No follow-through, no clarity, no actual care. If you want chaos dressed as healthcare, this is your place. Otherwise, run.
This isnt healthcare. It’s theatre.

This NP's office called me 4 times to confirm the appt. They asked me questions in an attempt to gather information that I had already provided such as my email and the pharmacy near me. The real problem was when they asked to move the appointment to an earlier time and I said I could not since I was not home yet (being seen telehealth). They said ok but proceeded to call me a half hour prior to the appointment and ask if I was ready for the appt even though I had already said I could not be seen earlier. The receptionist proceeded to tell me that the NP wanted to go home early. I immediately lost it bc they had called to confirm this appt so many times to then switch it. After telling them how UNPROFESSIONAL they were being, the receptionist said we could keep the appt for the scheduled time. The appointment started with NP and it was fine until she the call on hold for ten minutes. She said she was checking up on her children. Never again!!! Do not be seen by this person!

I prefer personal interaction with a MD psychiatrist . Virtual consultation is not as thorough than actual interaction with the doctor . In my understanding is MD , Psychiatrist not an NP for initial interview but for just an hour or more or less how can you evaluate what is the real optimal need .That seems just to submit paper works to met the requirements . Otherwise it is not useful to the patient .

The appointment was at 1 It was confirmed my PCP was changed but I wasn’t seen until 4 on the nicest day of the year after sitting and waiting because I was told I had to do the call On zoom because the office doesn’t use Zocdoc. The office wasn’t aware of my appointment and after waiting in the waiting room for the Dr I called the office where i received so much attitude from the receptionist because I was asking for the doctor to call me . I was notified that he wasn’t in office and I was confused because I specifically seeked out a black female doctor . When he called me over 3 and a half hours later over zoom his camera wasn’t on but he wouldn’t speak to me unless mine was on. After waiting for his camera for 10 minutes he said I could cancel the appointment and reschedule as if it was my fault when I told him I wanted my appointment he proceeds to ask me okay how can I help you as if seeking a psychiatrist is McDonald’s. He was extremely rude and condensending and hung up on me .
