Hi, I am Sherekia Hales, a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care tailored to your unique needs, whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or just feeling stuck. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next steps toward healing. Every patient is different, and so is the care rendered. I use various approaches to deliver quality care. These approaches include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Psychopharmacology, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I primarily work with adults(18+) who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and stress-related conditions. Many of my patients are high-functioning individuals who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves or others. My communication style is warm, clear, and responsive-even through a screen. I strive to create a calm, welcoming virtual environment where you feel comfortable sharing openly. I listen actively, offer honest and supportive feedback, and work with you collaboratively to ensure your needs are met. Working with me feels like having a steady, supportive partner in your mental health journey. I was attracted to mental healthcare because I saw firsthand how often emotional struggles go unspoken-and how powerful it is when someone finally feels heard and supported. With a background in both medical and psychiatric care, I recognized the need for providers who can understand the full picture of a person's well-being. Helping individuals find relief, rebuild confidence, and move forward with clarity is deeply meaningful to me, and it's why I'm passionate about the work I do every day.
