About Shirley Yancey

Shirley Yancey, MPAS, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in urology. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Shirley earned her Bachelor's degree in bioengineering, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh. She then completed her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Iowa, a top PA program. Shirley joined the GW Medical Faculty Associates as a General Urology Physician Assistant. She manages a wide range of urological conditions, including UTIs, urinary incontinence, hematuria, and erectile dysfunction. She also performs various in-clinic procedures such as catheter management, self-catheterization and intracavernosal injection training, PTNS, and voiding trials. Shirley collaborates closely with physicians in the department to provide well-rounded and comprehensive patient care. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Urological Association.
