Dr. Similade Adetunji is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), licensed to practice in multiple states including Arizona (AZ), Maryland (MD), Idaho (ID), New Mexico (NM), Florida (FL), and Washington, D.C. (DC). She provides care for children, adolescents, and adults with conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and anger management.
Her approach is holistic and personalized, combining evidence-based treatment plans with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). She earned her Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Global, her Master’s in Family Nursing from Walden University, and an Associate’s degree from Anne Arundel Community College.
In addition to psychiatric services, Dr. Adetunji offers virtual weight loss treatment using FDA-approved GLP-1 medications when appropriate. Her mission is to empower patients to build resilience, improve self-awareness, and enhance their overall quality of life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Dr. Similade Adetunji is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I am passionate about providing quality, caring, and comprehensive mental health services to all ages. I also follow evidence-based guidelines combined with clinical experience.
Lily Health and Wellness Center is committed to providing exceptional psychiatric/primary care
service in a timely manner. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustment are necessary,
therefore we respect request at least a 24 hours’ notice for all cancellations or change in
scheduled appointment.
If you ever need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, contact our office immediately and be
sure to do so 24 hours before your initial appointment. This will allow us enough time to work
on the appointment of other waiting patients.
For a detailed view of our cancellation/rescheduled appointment, please see our policy below,
effective March 1, 2022:
• If, for any reason, a patient could not show up to their appointment on the arranged date
and was not able to contact our office 24 hours prior to their appointment, he/she will be
considered a No-Show and will be charged a $80.00 fee.
• If, for any reason, a patient could not show up/reschedule their appointment on the
allotted 24-hour notice for the second time, he/she will be charged a $90 fee.
• If the said occurrence happens for a third time with the same patient, he/she may be
dismissed from Lily Health and Wellness Center.
• Any cancellation/rescheduling fees will be charged to the patient, not their insurance
company, during his/her next office visit.
• As a courtesy, all patients should receive an automated reminder a day or 2 days before
their appointment time. Also, if the time permits, Lily Health maybe making reminder
calls for upcoming appointments. If you do not receive the said reminder call or any
automated message regarding your appointment, the above policy will still be in effect.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
When we begin working together, the first session typically focuses on getting to know you. I will ask questions about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals so I can gain a clear picture of your overall health and well-being. This helps me develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Follow-up sessions often include both medication management (when appropriate) and talk therapy techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and supportive counseling. My approach is holistic, meaning I consider not only your mental health but also your physical health, environment, and daily habits.
Each session is a collaborative space where you are encouraged to share openly. We will review your progress, adjust your plan if needed, and build practical skills you can use outside of sessions. My goal is to help you feel supported, empowered, and equipped to manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life.
