Dr. Steve Bielamowicz is a caring and diligent ear, nose & throat doctor serving the community of Washington, DC. Dr. Bielamowicz attended the Baylor College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residencies in surgery and otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at UCLA Medical Center. He continued his training by completing a fellowship in neurotology at the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
Dr. Bielamowicz is a part of GWMFA Otolaryngology and is affiliated with the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Laryngological Association, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

The office staff were courteous snd efficient. The system worked well with an initial intake with a technician, more detailed history with assisting physician, and thorough examination by the physician. I would definitely choose to see them again

I love Dr Bielamowicz, mostly because he understands the unique concerns singers like me have to confront. He truly listens and knows how to treat voice-related issues. However, and this is no reflection on him, but the wait time was too long. I arrived 15 mins early for my 1:30 appointment and didn't see him until 2:30. And it took almost a month to get an appointment to begin with. Also, I had to fill out new patient forms that turned out to be unnecessary since I'm an existing patient.

Needs improvement: Front office staff was alright, not stellar. PLEASE figure out how to take Zocdoc paperwork rather than make patients fill out forms from scratch.

Dr. Bielamowicz focuses on vocal problems, but he is listed as a general ENT on zocdoc. Despite that, he still saw me for my allergy problems. He is very personable and very sweet and actually genuinely cares about your condition whatever it may be. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

First of all, the appointment was changed to 7/21. I'm surprised you don't have ways to track such changes.
Secondly, GW Medical Faculty Associates presents the typical Washington mix of well-trained & competent professionals and support staff whose limited competence and poor training are the product of low pay scales and the inadequacy of DC schools. The support staff in this office didn't seem to know anything about ZocDoc, which means that filling out the forms online was a waste of time; I had to do them all over again by hand. Once I was in the hands of medical professionals things improved dramatically. Dr B and the intern who worked with him listened carefully, explained things clearly and came up with a strategy that made sense.

My visit with Dr. Bielamowicz was pleasant and informative.
I visited him initially because I thought he specialized in speech pathology services; I had been having issues with vocal fatigue and soreness. He explained that people typically visited him if they were going the surgical route to correct vocal issues. Once I explained that I wanted to focus more on proper vocal production to correct my issue, he directed me to actual speech pathologists in the area that could better assist me.
