“Dr. Lee said that trigger finger was the most common ailment they see! He gave me a cortisone injection, which really wasn’t that bad. I’ve had it elsewhere years ago and it hurt! This was fine. Hopefully it’ll work for the finger.”

About Dr. Steven J. Lee
Steven J. Lee, M.D. is the Chief of Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at the renowned Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, and the Associate Director of the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (NISMAT), the first hospital-based sports medicine and research facility in the country. He is a board certified, double-fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the most complex disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, knee, and foot/ankle. He has been honored as NY Magazine's Best Doctor, Castle Connolly's Top Doctor, America's Top Orthopedists, NY Super Doctors, and Lenox Hill's Teacher of the Year and Mentor of the Year numerous times.
Dr. Lee graduated from a highly competitive 6-yr accelerated college/medical school combined program at Lehigh University and the Medical College of PA. He completed his orthopaedic residency at Stony Brook University Hospital, his Hand/Upper Extremity Fellowship at NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases, and a 2nd fellowship in Sports Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, the oldest sports medicine fellowships in the country. During his training, he participated in the care of the NY Jets, Islanders, Rangers and Hofstra University Athletics. Dr. Lee has served as the team physician for the NJ Red Dogs and Gladiators Professional Arena Football teams, Hofstra University Athletic teams, and a consultant for the PGA tour. He is actively engaged in research and has over 55 publications and presentations at national meetings. Dr. Lee is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Association.
