About Dr. Suhel Ahmed
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Bariatric medicine, Suhel Ahmed, MD, brings more than 10 years of experience in weight management and Obesity medicine to All Health Medical Group in Hackensack, New Jersey, serving patients throughout Bergen and Passaic Counties.
Dr. Ahmed began his professional education at Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Ahmed went to Rutgers School of Medicine in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his internship and residency at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey and then enrolled in training with The American Society of Bariatric Physicians where he earned his board certification. In 2008, Dr. Ahmed entered private practice, helping clients achieve weight loss and a better quality of life.
Dr. Ahmed’s considerate manner and friendly demeanor make him a patient favorite. Over the years, he has received multiple awards, including the prestigious Castle Connolly, patient choice awards, and numerous mentions on New Jersey’s Top Doc list. Dr. Ahmed specializes in chronic care management and regularly addresses conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension in his patients.
Apart from practicing, Dr. Ahmed works as an associate professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, teaching residents and advanced practice nurse students. In his spare time, Dr. Ahmed also sits on many boards in New Jersey, including the board of Care Plus NJ. He is also the medical director for Hackensack University Medical Center for bariatric medicine and surgery and the Borough Physician for the town of Prospect Park.

Today was my first appointment. The office staff were friendly, the office was clean and decorated for Halloween. The Dr. took his time, asking me questions and listening to my concerns. All while reassuring me that he will help me.
