Getting to know Dr. Sumeet Singh
Dr. Sumeet Singh is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Adult Psychiatry. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Howard University Hospital and Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, DC., where he was voted as Chief resident. He went on to serve as Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Adventist HealthCare in Maryland where he worked in both an administrative and clinical role to treat adults in an inpatient setting. Additionally, he served as a Clinical Instructor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine, teaching medical students about the art of medicine. Dr. Singh received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from Xavier University School of Medicine.
Most recently, Dr. Singh worked for LifeStance Health, an outpatient telehealth company, where he treated patients between the ages of 18-65 years old with both medication management and therapeutic interventions. Dr. Singh has years of experience treating the following disorders/diagnoses: depression, anxiety and panic attacks, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and OCD.

Because we accept insurance, we can reduce out-of-pocket expenses and still offer high-quality care. You may not have any cost related to your visit with us, depending upon your insurance plan. Most patients pay a small copay per visit, subject to any deductible or coinsurance that your health plan has. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determines appropriate billing guidelines. These guidelines depend on the length of the visit and the complexity and severity of your diagnosis. For this reason, we need to wait until after the visit for the final determination. We then submit the claim to your insurance company. The charges are calculated based upon pre-negotiated prices with your insurance company. Your insurance company will then determine what amount, if any, is your responsibility per your insurance plan.

Dr. Singh has a bright light that surrounds him. He has a very calm demeanor and I could tell that he carefully listened to what I had to say in regards to what I have been through in my life, that caused me to be diagnosed with PTSD.
I also could tell that he has genuine Empathy, and that alone is very hard to find.
He did not make me feel rushed or hurried throughout my appointment. He was very patient with me while I threw one trauma after another at him that I have been through, throughout my entire life.
With my history he never made me feel judged or uncomfortable. It’s hard for me to trust Doctors. But I felt so much better and understood after my appointment with Dr. Singh. I feel extremely relieved and happy to have found him!
Give him a chance! I know Mental Health can be difficult to face. All you have to do is try! Take the first step and make an appointment with Dr. Singh!

Just schedule your appointment with Dr. Singh if you're on the fence. Honestly, one of the best doctors I ever interacted with, of any field. He was such a great listener, was genuinely interested in what I've been going through, and clearly communicated his thoughts and suggestions about my diagnoses. He made sure I felt included in discussing treatment, and it felt tailored to my issues as opposed to feeling informal or a throwaway suggestion. I highly highly recommend.

Dr. Singh is exceptional! I have been dreading seeing a psychiatrist for years cause of my own fears and stigmas. After hitting a really low point, I finally gave in and I am SO happy that he is the doctor that I selected. He was very patient and kind!! I was anxious cause I expected the visit to be really short and medication focused, but it wasn’t. He took his time, asked great questions, made great connections to things I minimized, and was very kind and encouraging when diagnosing me and discussing treatment plans. He also discussed varied options with me, both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical. I appreciate that I was a part of my treatment planning and not just another patient on the list getting a quick visit and a prescription. He’s a great doctor. I highly recommend him!

I’ve seen many psychiatrists before and Dr. Singh was the first psychiatrist to actually listen to me and ask me the right questions. He also said things that no one’s ever told me, so I felt very seen and somehow I feel that somebody finally understands me. Because of some regulatory restrictions I will not be able to continue ongoing care with Dr Singh, which is disappointing.
