About Dr. Tarek Mousa
After completing his training at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University Health System Dr. Mousa joined Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and NYU Winthrop Hospital.
He also established his private practice in Astoria, Queens where he sees patients and offers comprehensive cardiac testing under one roof at "Cardiac Services Center".
He maintains multiple board certifications in cardiology and cardiology subspecialties: Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Comprehensive Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology.
He is also a designated hypertensive specialist by the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Mousa is on the board as a registered physician in Vascular interpretation (RPVI).

This was my first visit and I was very impressed with Dr. Mousa and his staff. The doctor was very personable and caring which is hard combination to find these days. Also he appears to be very knowledgeable and takes his time with you as opposed to many doctors who cant get you out quick enough . I highly recommend him !

Dr Tarek and his staff are all really warm and friendly. He has great bedside manner and took his time to make sure I was comfortable with next steps. Went on a Saturday morning and we didn’t wait more than 10-15 minutes to be seen.

I went in for chest pains. I felt as if I was just rushed off. It felt as if my concerns were not important at all. Also the staff , horrible! The ladies that work there are down right rude. I got the dirtiest looks upon entering. They gave me such a hard time. I had a follow up appointment ( this was my mistake for even making one ) which they said they couldn’t get the approval from my insurance but they would call me early in the morning to let me know if they received said approval so I could make arrangements with my job. No one ever called! I decided to call and the woman who answers the phone says “ can you come now” ?? So no one follows up with a patient to make sure they are aware they have to come in ? I make another appointment to go in the following Saturday, I call ahead to say I don’t feel good and I would like to speak to the doctor. Again, the staff being their rudest self huffs out a long breathe as if I’m bothering her with my concerns. Those ladies really need to work on their tone ! It was repulsive to be treated that way especially when you’re calling to speak to the doctor about an immediate concern. I will not step foot into this facility again. Worst mistake ever !

Impressive, and knowledgeable Cardiologist with great compassion, experience , and bedside manner.
He took ample time responding to my incessant questions (this was my first heart attack so I had lots of questions).
He was calm, sound, and professional. He was reassuring, and had a positive outlook of my medical illness which gave me back my confidence. He delineated a plan of care for the coming weeks. He gave me his email address to keep in touch/ submit any new or old medical reports I may have.
Bottom-line, he calmed me down and dispelled the myriads of misunderstandings I was holding. He did that in a respectful and professional manner.
I’m glad to have met him. I will continue medical follow-ups with him. He is a real great resource.

All and all just a top class office. Very helpful, polite and truly feel that the doctor is listening and concerned. The front desk was extremely helpful as well (even while I was scheduling the appointment). Rarely see this type of courtesy and ease for a patient.
