Dr. Tsion Gebresellasie, DNP, FNP-C, is a compassionate and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in internal medicine and primary care. She is deeply committed to providing personalized, evidence-based, and holistic care to individuals and families of all backgrounds.
Dr. Gebresellasie began her healthcare journey in 2009 after earning her nursing degree from Northern Virginia Community College. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in 2011. She then completed her Master of Science in Family Health Nursing at Chamberlain University and earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University in Chicago in 2023.
Her clinical experience includes chronic disease management, preventive care, women’s and men’s health, and urgent care. She has worked in a range of healthcare settings, including federally qualified health centers, urgent care facilities, and primary care practices across the DMV area. Patients appreciate her warm bedside manner, active listening, and dedication to treating the whole person—not just the symptoms.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Gebresellasie is passionate about community health and education. She has led wellness outreach initiatives and served in leadership roles.

I had a great primary care visit! I was seen for an annual physical. Was brought back immediately and everyone was incredibly kind and attentive. I am excited that I have found a new doctor. She truly cares what you have to say and what concerns or issues you are having. She does all the blood work and everything there. I truly appreciated her customer service and empathy. She located in an inconvenient area. I highly, highly recommend!

She has exceeded my expectation. She listened to me and encouraged me to advocate for myself. She is willing to keep me informed and be supportive in ensuring that I continue to remain healthy. It was a pleasant experience from the moment I walked in. I went in for my annual check up. Dr. Tsion was waiting for me. She first asked how I am feeling and explained what she will be doing. Unlike my other experiences elsewhere, she took her time to check everything needed. She also took blood sample. Once she received my result, she called and explained everything line by line and made recommendations.
Over all it was very good experience and she has my absolute recommendation.

Took my dad to see Dr.Tsion @ Comfort Health & Wellnes Clinic, we had excellent experience. From check-in to checkout, Dr. Tison was outstanding through, compassionate and truly took the time to listen to my dad’s concerns. She explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure we felt confident about the next steps. Highly recommend Dr. Tison anyone looking for excellent medical care.

I have been taking my mother to Dr. Tsion Gebresellasie for a few months now and she has been a god send. Her new Clinique is very well organized and easily accessible even for my elderly mother when I am not available to take her. She is very professional and knowns her craft well. Her intuition and personal judgement have been greatly assuring and calming when in dire need of medical guidance and advice. Very thankful for her.
