About Dr. William Kwan

William Kwan, MD is a board-certified dermatologist recognized for his expertise in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. A graduate of UCLA with a B.S. in biology, magna cum laude, he went on to earn his medical degree at USC. His training included an internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, followed by a dermatology residency at UCLA. He later distinguished himself as Chief Resident at King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles before establishing a thriving practice in San Francisco. After many years in the Bay Area, he relocated to Southern California to be closer to family, continuing his career in Beverly Hills. Dr. Kwan is widely regarded as one of the nation’s leading practitioners of laser skin procedures. His practice blends advanced technology with an uncompromising standard of care, offering a full spectrum of treatments designed to restore, enhance, and maintain healthy, beautiful skin. Patients value not only his technical skill but also his thoughtful approach to achieving natural, individualized results. Growing up as a minority at a time when mainstream ideals of beauty excluded people who looked like him, Dr. Kwan experienced firsthand the challenges of not seeing oneself reflected in cultural standards.
