UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I have several years of experience working with clients of various ages and backgrounds. My expertise includes supporting individuals dealing with grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. I understand that some people feel they are at a "loss" and need direction and encouragement to move forward. I like to meet clients where they are and believe that short-term, solution-focused therapy is effective in addressing issues directly. To promote accountability and progress throughout the therapy journey, I assign weekly homework assignments. I also enjoy sharing uplifting quotes and notes to help us see the "light at the end of the tunnel." I hold a Master's degree in Social Work from Howard University and earned my Bachelor's degree from Bowie State University.
