Getting to know Brittany Fravel

Hi I obtained my LISW in 2017 and am passionate about helping others navigate challenging issues in their lives while supporting them to be the best versions of themselves. In 2011 I graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts and majored in Social Work. I then went on to pursue my masters degree in Social Work from the University of Akron and graduated in 2013. In 2014 I worked as a schoolbased therapist where I counseled children experiencing trauma, behavioral issues, adversity, family conflict and peer relationship challenges. I created treatment plans to help identify coping skills and promote desired behavioral outcomes. Additionally, I have over 10 years of experience in the field of child welfare. During this time I worked with children involved in various systems including juvenile court, foster care, mental health services, Board of Developmental Disabilities and educational providers. I worked with children and families experiencing crisis, depression, anxiety, PTSD, domestic violence, substance abuse and issues related to poverty. I assisted families process and problem solve challenges in their lives and supported them in achieving their goals. Recently I began counseling adults struggling with various mental health disorders and assist them develop coping skills.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
