Getting to know Chya Holland

Hello there! My name is Chya (Shy-ah). Making the first step towards therapy may seem intimidating or scary to some, but it is my mission to make this process as easy as possible for you. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), licensed in D.C., MD, and VA, and I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Washington Adventist University. I am super passionate about providing empathetic, supportive, and nonjudgmental care to you on your journey in life. Whether it be from life transitions, daily stressors, depression, anxiety, or complex trauma, I am here to assist you on your healing journey to become the best possible version of yourself imagined.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have worked in numerous healing environments that have helped me develop my skills and specialties. I am able to offer a safe and comfortable space to process symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma. I create a supportive environment to explore self-esteem, identity, sexual orientation, and to develop new ways of coping. You deserve to feel supported, heard, and understood during the therapeutic journey of healing regardless of age, sex, gender, race, or other abilities.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
