Hello, my name is Constance. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Virginia, Maryland, DC, and Florida. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Barry University. I have 9 years of experience working in behavioral health facilities, outpatient therapy clinics, correctional centers, and providing medical social work and therapy to oncology, emergent, and crisis patients in hospital settings. Focusing on the client through a strength-based approach, building resilience and rapport is key to establishing a therapeutic relationship and striving for successful outcomes. My professional experience includes working with adolescents and adults with minor to severe mental illness, survivors of traumatic experiences, individuals with major medical conditions, suicidal ideations, domestic violence, substance misuse, and crisis management.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Collaborating with you to build a safe and trustworthy partnership is something I am fully dedicated to. Together we will work on treatment goals and conflict resolution. Most importantly you will be the driver in the front seat. By collaborating together we can begin resolving your concerns. The ultimate goal is to restore social equilibrium. You will gain the appropriate tools/coping skills necessary to move forward in life with clarity, peace, awareness, and improve your quality of life. This will be our private and secure space to discuss whatever you wish. I look forward to partnering with you!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I haven’t had too much therapy in my life, and I say that to say, I don’t really know what I’m expecting from it. However, since speaking with my current therapist, it has allowed me a place to express how I truly feel about my day-to-day situation. Not only has she been a great listener she has also giving me insight to look at some of my daily situations in a different way.
