About Dr. Daniela Rubio

Daniela first joined TFI as a rehabilitation aide and front desk manager in July 2019 after graduating from The University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She fell in love with the field of Physical Therapy while working at TFI and was inspired to pursue her DPT. She began her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Midwestern University in 2021. She is thrilled to be back at TFI as a Physical Therapist! Daniela has experience working in sports, post-operative, general orthopedic, and pediatric rehabilitation. She has a passion for establishing meaningful relationships with patients to help them feel cared for. Her ultimate goal is to help everyone be the best version of themselves. Daniela loves coming up with unique exercises that are specifically tailored to each patient and their goals. With a background in competitive figure skating, she loves working with determined athletes and helping them return to the sport they love safely and well-prepared to prevent injuries in the future. Daniela is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for bringing Physical Therapy services and education to minority communities. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area with strong roots embedded in Bogota, Colombia, she spent many summers in her home country with family and friends. She continues to speak Spanish at home with her family and loves talking about her culture and all the good Colombian restaurants in the city! In her free time, Daniela loves going for bike rides, exploring the city with her boyfriend, spending time with her family, and playing with her dog, Vino. But, don’t get her started talking about her dog because she will never stop. She is also a die-hard Chicago sports fan — Bear Down! See Red!

For my first PT experience I am glad I chose Dr. Rubio, she is kind, listens, and made me feel comfortable through my PT sessions and training. Everyone at the facility was kind and I appreciated that they ran my insurance in advance so I knew what I would be paying per session. I highly recommend Dr. Rubio and TFI!
