Kiwanuka Lubega, LCSW, a Clinical Social Worker specialist licensed in Washington, District of Columbia, and the state of Maryland. I earned both my bachelor’s degree and my master’s in Social Work from Indiana University. Since graduating in 1991, I have accumulated over 30 years of diverse experience, especially in clinical social work, management, and therapy. I work with individuals and couples facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, marriage and relationship issues, PTSD, substance abuse, and employment challenges. My passion is to work with you as you walk that journey toward healing. I will be your guide through the troubled sea.

My experience was pretty awful with this guy! We had couple's therapy, I picked him because his description said he had 30 years of experience, and available. We were looking for premarital counseling. We started the session off with explaining an issue in our relationship. The therapist immediately asked if me and my fiancé been to therapy before, I said yes, and my finance said no. He asked what's reason I go to therapy, I said there isn't a reason I just go for weekly check ins; we discuss work and me dating my fiancé and that's it. He told us that anyone that goes to therapy has a problem, he asked me "what did your report say" I told him I never got a report, I go to therapy for maintenance and to vent but that I'm not working on anything. He also told me that the issue I had with my fiancé wasn't a big deal and why was I making it a big thing. Then he told me that I was being overbearing with my fiancé although I explained we both have issues with friendship boundaries.
