While most of us experience grief at some point, the pain can feel uniquely ours to handle. That pain can stem from many different sources-like struggling with trauma or addiction in your life or the life of a loved one. Maybe you've experienced the loss of a child, parent, friend, or partner. Or perhaps you've received a difficult diagnosis. No matter what it is, finding ourselves again amidst grief can be difficult-and we often need extra support in doing so. Asking for this kind of help can feel overwhelming, but there's so much value in reaching out to those who can work with you in a safe, supportive environment where there's no expectation that you're “okay” or that you'll heal on someone else's timeline. I can promise that while there's often “no way out but through,” you don't have to go through it alone. I'm a grief counselor with many years' experience working alongside clients struggling with loss, trauma, and addiction. Loss from pregnancy or the death of a child at any age is an area close to my heart. I hold a Master's in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and offer telehealth therapy with a teamwork approach for clients looking to explore options and find the best path for moving forward.
