UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. I have over 26 years of experience, initially focusing on medical social work. Since then, I have worked in child welfare, including roles in CPS and the Child Abuse Hotline in DC. This has provided me with extensive experience in crisis intervention, depression, child abuse/trauma, anxiety, substance use, OCD, and domestic violence. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Alabama, Huntsville, and a Bachelor's degree from Binghamton University. When working with clients, I believe in allowing them to take the lead throughout the process, emphasizing a collaborative approach. I treat everyone with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. My approach is somewhat eclectic, tailored to the client's needs, and incorporates solution-focused and cognitive behavioral techniques.
