Have you thought to yourself, "I want to feel better." but are unsure how to get there? Many of us have experienced trauma in our lives. There are many types of trauma, including sexual or emotional abuse, natural disasters, and car accidents. There is also another type of invisible trauma that many have experienced from their school, place of employment, friends, and even family that makes you feel bad about yourself. This type of trauma happens when the negative messages received from our environment turn into messages that we now tell ourselves, like “I’m the problem or I’m worthless, and no one will ever love me.” When you look at your partner, do you wonder "How did we get here?" or "Does my trauma or the negative way I feel about myself affect this relationship?" Have you felt overwhelmed with family and work obligations and not know how to lighten the load? I can help you find the answers as you work with your partner to reach your healthy relationship goals. With over 20 years of experience in the mental health profession, I can help you navigate the emotional wellness journey to aid in changing the negative cycles that continue to impact your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have created a safe nonjudgemental space that allows you to be yourself. I listen first, provide evidence-based guidance second, and walk alongside you every step of the way. Your healing journey is unique, and I honor that in every session. Confidentiality, compassion, and collaboration are at the heart of everything I do. Mental health isn't a destination rather it's an ongoing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Based on our conversation, we'll work together to develop a personalized plan. We will meet frequently as each session builds on the last. You can ask questions anytime and we will move at your pace. Sessions may become less frequent as you gain more confidence and skills.
