“John was an excellent PT provider! I went in for an IT band issue from long-distance running and over the course of a month he was able to help me build strength and stability so I could run again without pain. He was incredibly knowledgeable and super fun to chat with during PT sessions. The LIC practice was also a fantastic location - easy to get to and showers if you go before work. Easily my best PT experience ever!”

“John is an excellent PT. The utmost professional, with a pleasant and encouraging disposition. He demonstrates an expertise in his craft by explaing what is happening with your anatomy, what the plan of attack is to get you better, and why we are doing it. He listens, asks for feedback, and manages your expectations, while pushing you to reach your goals. I would recommend him to any friend of family member.”

John Mackarey is the best. He has tons of experience to draw on to assist you through a safe recovery, and is endlessly creative with exercises to help you stay engaged and motivated. He's super fun and easy going, always positive and accomodating. Most importantly, he genuinely cares about his patients. I've seen numerous patients treat him as their life coach as well as physical therapist (I'm sure I did that too). He made the recovery process fun, which is a challanging feat in the best of circumstances. Cannot recommend him enough!

My visits to Spear always go well. My p.t knows exactly what exercises to assign me. He makes sure I complete them using proper form. he always asks how the specific body part feels and my progress.
