Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Joseline! Hello!! I'm Joseline Mejia, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been practicing for more than 15 years. My focus areas are trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I have a holistic approach along with a client-centered modality. My approach I use trauma-focused CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, holistic/spiritual approaches, inner-child work, and heart-focused techniques. My focus I work with clients who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma-related symptoms. My communication style One of the most important things as a therapist is to make sure I build a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients and build trust so that they feel safe during the treatment process. My journey to mental healthcare I knew I wanted to be a therapist since 6th grade. I've always had a passion for helping people improve their quality of life, and I also had my own experiences that led me to assist people who were struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. My goals for you I always encourage clients to let me know if they feel they are not improving or if we are not going the right way. They are the ones who know best how they feel, and we can always adjust treatment to meet their needs. What works for someone may not work for someone else. My first session with you Usually, I start by gathering information, building rapport and trust, and getting to know my client, their symptoms, and history of symptoms. I begin with symptom reduction, focusing on providing tools to stabilize clients. Once they feel better, we dive deeper to find the root, and finally, we do termination and/or maintenance.
