Getting to know Joy Banks

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a certified case manager, and a certified grief support professional. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Indiana University, Purdue University, Indianapolis, as well as a Bachelor's degree. I continue to participate in yearly trainings and continuing education in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief, individual counseling, and couples counseling. Since 2007, I have been assisting individuals in transforming their lives. I have worked with diverse groups, including adults with learning disabilities, children and families, individuals in counseling, couples, and grief support groups. Over my 16 years of service, I have supported individuals in home, office, and hospital settings. The one thing that has never changed is my capacity to help individuals transition to a new stage in life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Joy is calming and wonderful
Joy is open-minded and caring. She doesn't tell you what to do but asks questions to steer you to your own decision. Which challenges you and makes you feel like you are in control of your life. She's not judgmental, very down to earth and easy to talk to.
