Getting to know Kathryn Vicks

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10+ years experience. I obtained a Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University and specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy to treat symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, low self worth, past trauma and PTSD. Clients will gain new coping skills to challenge negative thinking patterns and learn how to adjust reactionary trauma coping styles. I value honest direct discussions in the therapeutic relationship and look forward to working with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a social worker I am approachable and direct with clients identifying strengths and areas to learn more as I was trained in cognitive behavioral, solution-focused and motivation intervention therapies. It is a more structured approach to counseling where we will have a clear focus at the end of each session as to what interventions to experiment with to discuss at the next session.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
