Psychotherapist
CA
As a psychotherapist who has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years, I believe therapy doesn’t have to be mysterious or full of jargon. You’re not here for fluff — you want real change. My job is to help you get there. I am a straightforward but compassionate DBT and grief-informed therapist. I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy-informed strategies and Mindfulness into my practice to help clients with emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I also provide Grief Counseling, helping clients understand that grief isn't about "getting over it" but about finding new ways to live with loss while still experiencing meaning and connection. Therapy with me is a mix of figuring stuff out, calling out patterns, finding solutions, building better boundaries — and yes, sometimes laughing at the chaos of it all. My main focus is working with young adults who are managing anxiety and/or depression, dealing with life transitions, grief, and may have difficulty setting appropriate boundaries with others and/or speaking up. I am a direct, down-to-earth therapist who believes in being honest, clear, and practical. I won’t just nod and ask, “How does that make you feel?” — I’ll tell you what I see, offer real feedback, and help you figure out what’s getting in your way in a safe and supportive environment. I work best with people who want real conversations, honest feedback, and accountability. I respect your time, and I want therapy to feel like a conversation with a purpose. My path to becoming a therapist began with curiosity about people, why they do what they do, their struggles, their resilience, and the ways they find meaning even in hard times. . But what drives me most is seeing clients find their voice, their inner peace, and their capability to make change and move forward. Therapy for me is less about labels and more about building a path that actually works for each person. My clients teach me something new every day.
