I have also assisted Autistic students and adults suffering from cancer. I want to help you maintain your integrity, and my role is to guide and support you as you build new skills, overcome obstacles, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. My journey to mental healthcare When I became an adult, I began working in education helping disabled children. I had a talent for helping those with behavior issues, so I became a behavior therapist. I decided to become a school counselor to help all children. Later in my career, I lost a child in a car accident. Working through that grief inspired me to help others facing similar anguish. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor and created a grief and loss program for students. In 2022, I became very ill with Guillain-Barre Syndrome, an immune disorder that paralyzed my entire body for weeks. This experience deepened my empathy and commitment to supporting others through their struggles.
