What should a new client know about working with you?

Our work together is a partnership. While I will guide and support you through the therapeutic process, I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My goal is to help you develop insights, explore your emotions, and work toward the goals that matter most to you. A Tailored Approach Every individual is unique, and I take a personalized approach to therapy. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and other therapeutic modalities to meet your specific needs and goals. Together, we will determine the best course of action based on your challenges and preferences. In order for therapy to be effective, I believe in an open, non-judgmental approach that facilitates empathy, realistic expectations and active participation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1. Initial Consultation and Assessment We start with an initial session to understand your concerns, history, and goals. This helps me get to know you and gather important background information to tailor our work together. 2. Goal Setting and Treatment Plan Together, we'll set clear, actionable goals for therapy and develop a personalized treatment plan that may include a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending on your needs. 3. Active Therapy Sessions In ongoing sessions, we explore issues in-depth, practice new skills, and work toward your goals using techniques like CBT, mindfulness, and emotion-focused work. Homework or exercises may be given to reinforce progress outside of sessions. 4. Progress Evaluation and Adjustments Regular check-ins allow us to evaluate your progress, adjust the treatment plan if necessary, and celebrate successes. We’ll address any challenges as they arise. 5. Conclusion or Transition When you’ve met your goals, we’ll discuss whether you’re ready to conclude therapy or continue with a new focus. This may include transitioning to less frequent sessions or maintaining skills independently. 6. Ongoing Support (if needed) If further support is needed later, we can arrange follow-up sessions or check-ins to continue your progress.
