Psychotherapist
CA
Congratulations on taking steps to experience therapy. It takes courage and a willingness to seek help. I am a Licensed Marriage Therapist with 15 years of experience helping people through life transitions. If you are struggling with trauma, grief/loss, divorce, work, partner, and family concerns, I know firsthand that therapy can be life-changing. As we manage some of our life struggles, we can notice symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, and thought disorders. My approach is to create a trusting relationship centered on your needs in a collaborative and safe environment, helping you to develop insight and skills to manage life on life’s terms more effectively. Building a trusting therapeutic relationship, listening to your concerns and issues, to help us co-develop a plan for your success in therapy together. I am well-versed in the use of Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy methods, as well as motivational interviewing techniques. These methods focus on how our thinking, feelings, and behavior affect our lives. Being able to reconsider with insight how thinking patterns may no longer work for you. I have a warm, welcoming style that is proactive and collaborative to help you move forward equipped for ongoing success. Life is full of struggles and challenges. Some of these can cause us to question our ability to cope and evolve, causing us to have sleepless nights, overindulging in food or alcohol, not want to do things you used to like to do, making you feel inadequate. My focus is on helping you navigate life, equipping you with insight and skills to manage change. Whether you are working through a major life transition or a problem with communication, together we will develop a plan that feels empowering and set you up for growth.
