UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. After learning about what brought you to therapy, we may begin by looking at how your thoughts affect emotions and behaviors. One goal may be to learn to recognize and avoid thinking errors and, as a result, begin to shift recurring negative thoughts. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which may be a useful tool if upsetting events and trauma arise. Through direct communication and a big dose of humor, we will work together to explore realistic tools for you. I am dedicated to honoring the multifaceted aspects of clients' identities and consciously work to stay attuned to the importance of topics and issues around culture, race, racism, and oppression. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and earned my Bachelor's degree from the College of Wooster.
