WA
**PLEASE NOTE: I DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE** My name is Dr. Michael Sun. I graduated from Harvard University and Dartmouth Medical School before completing my adult psychiatry residency training at Duke University and my child and adolescent fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School. Before moving to Seattle, I was the Site Director for Education at the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit for the Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. I have a special interest in cultural psychiatry and worked to develop effective mental health interventions in Boston Chinatown through a SAMHSA Minority Fellowship Program. I am a board-certified psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Sun Family Psychiatry is a private outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy practice, providing medication management and psychotherapy to children, adults, and families in the greater Seattle area. At Sun Family Psychiatry, I take a holistic, family-centered approach to mental health, recognizing that each child is a unique individual embedded within a network of relationships and experiences. Rooted in evidence-based practices, care is personalized to address not just symptoms, but the underlying emotional and developmental needs of your child. The goal is to create a safe, nurturing space for children and families to explore, understand, and overcome the challenges they face.
