Getting to know Nancy Burgos

Nancy Burogs is a graduate of Fordham University with a BS in Psychology and a MSW degree. She has been an LCSW since 2006. She has held CBT and DBT certifications. My approach as a therapist is gentle, but direct. I use a blend of modalities - behavioral (CBT&DBT), mindful (ACT), client-centered - as well as strategies to avoid codependency and self-sabotaging patterns. I will work with you in a collaborative, empathetic and client centered approach. I act as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment and acknowledging and validating feelings while guiding you through your own self-discovery. I specialize in anxiety, depression, grief & loss, relationship issues, anger and stress management. I work with individuals to help them identify any unhealthy patterns and explore with them what they want to change and suggest healthy ways to make changes long lasting.
