Hi there, I'm Pamela! It's a big step to ask for help. I engage in a coaching style, using a non-judgmental approach. I believe you are the expert of what matters to you. My training is grounded in mind/body medicine which incorporates skills and practices that get results and promote lifestyle changes. It's in these lifestyle changes that growth and sustained change occurs. I’m committed to putting myself out of business by equipping you with a variety of tools to manage stress, depression, anxiety, or grief. I don't ask clients to do anything I have not practiced or do myself. My role as a therapist is to work collaboratively as a guide to your best self. My approach Having a growth mindset is a central value of my work as a therapist. My go to theoretical approaches are rooted in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Mind/Body medicine such as imagery, visualization, and progressive muscle relaxation, mindfulness, boundary work, grief therapy, polyvagal theory, and Internal Family Systems. I often use a coaching style asking thought provoking questions while offering framed non-judgmental feedback to deepen insight. My PhD is in mind/body medicine which uses various forms of evidence-based modalities that connect the mind, body, and spirit for optimal living. Practicality is also central to my work as a therapist. My focus People living to manage chronic stress related to relationship conflicts, mild to moderate depression, mild to moderate anxiety, grief, infertility, ADHD, professional and personal development, or dealing with issues related to racial trauma, or trauma related sexual or gender identity. My communication style I use calming, melodic, non-judgmental approach when communicating with clients. Prosody and intonation can be its own healing tool, which I use when engaging clients in various mindfulness and mindful awareness practices. My journey to mental healthcare Having someone believe in you and truly see who you are is very healing.
