I also love working with a tough muscle and feeling it melt under my fingers after a few minutes. I balance my massage style between what the client wants and what the body needs. It becomes a three-way dance between the client, the client's body, and me as the therapist. Sometimes deep pressure is not necessary. When it is, the client's ability to remain relaxed and use deep breathing ensures I can keep working effectively.
