Getting to know Rachel Fox

New clients often share that they feel at ease with me quickly. I want you to know that our time together is not about having the “right words” or presenting a polished version of yourself—it’s about being real. I value honesty, gentleness, and collaboration, which means we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. You can expect me to listen deeply, to ask thoughtful questions, and to help you explore not only what feels heavy but also where there is hope. I believe healing happens in relationship, so you’ll find me both professional and human—someone who will walk alongside you with care and respect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

What I want new clients to know is that counseling with me is both a safe place and a hopeful one. My approach is trauma-informed, which means I pay close attention to the impact of past wounds on present struggles and create a space where you can process at your own pace. As a Christian counselor, I point to God as the ultimate source of healing and life, while also utilizing research-backed best practices for mental health treatment. You can expect me to integrate faith and evidence-based tools in ways that honor your story and work toward lasting growth. Above all, my heart is to walk with you toward wholeness—helping you find both practical support for today and deep, enduring hope in Christ.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with really listening to your story and what brings you to counseling. In our first sessions, we’ll talk about your goals, what feels most urgent, and how you’d like to grow. From there, I work collaboratively with you to create a plan that is both practical and deeply personal. Because my approach is trauma-informed, I am careful to move at a pace that feels safe, building trust as we address the struggles you’re carrying. As a Christian counselor, I invite you to look to God as the ultimate source of healing and hope, while also drawing from research-backed approaches like cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and relational therapies. Over time, our work often includes exploring past wounds, practicing new skills for the present, and strengthening your resilience so that you can move forward with greater peace and confidence.
