Getting to know Rebecca Denning

I work with individuals who are ready to create meaningful, lasting change in their lives. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and rooted in the belief that growth happens when we combine insight with intentional action. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—sometimes, it’s about fine-tuning the parts of life that feel “mostly okay” but could be more fulfilling, balanced, and aligned with who you truly are. In our sessions, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. These methods help you identify patterns that may be holding you back, strengthen coping and communication skills, and develop a clearer sense of direction. Together, we’ll work on building emotional awareness, improving relationships, increasing confidence, and deepening your overall sense of purpose. Many of my clients are high-achieving individuals who appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, burnout, perfectionism, or just striving for more authenticity in your daily life, I offer a supportive yet empowering environment where growth feels both safe and challenging. My goal is to help you move beyond simply managing stress to actually creating a more meaningful, intentional life—one where you feel grounded, capable, and connected. Together, we’ll uncover practical strategies that align your actions with your values and help you thrive, not just cope.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and find tools that help you feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life. I believe real healing comes from trust, collaboration, and a willingness to grow—at your own pace, in your own way. Working with me means you’ll have a space that’s supportive, reflective, and also gently challenging. I’m not here to just nod and agree—I’ll help you uncover patterns, question what’s no longer serving you, and create practical strategies that align with your goals and values. Therapy with me often blends self-awareness and action, so you’ll leave sessions with both insight and direction. My clients often describe our work as a mix of meaningful conversation and real-life tools they can immediately use. I tailor each session to your needs, whether you’re looking to strengthen relationships, manage stress more effectively, or build a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, motivated individuals who want to feel more grounded, intentional, and present in their everyday lives. My goal is to help you move beyond simply coping—to living a life that feels balanced, authentic, and truly your own.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together begins with a free 15-minute phone consultation to briefly connect and give you the opportunity to share what’s bringing you to therapy. This call also allows me to introduce myself, answer any questions, and determine if it feels like a good fit. If we decide to move forward, our first full session will be an assessment, where we’ll discuss your history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. From there, we can schedule weekly sessions to begin your therapeutic journey. Therapy with me moves at your own pace—there’s no pressure or expectation to open up faster than you’re ready. My goal is for you to leave each session with something practical to try in your daily life, whether that’s a new coping skill, a mindfulness technique, or a strategy for changing unhelpful thought patterns.
