I have years of experience treating adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric disorders. I am board certified in general and adolescent psychiatry and serve as a clinical professor of psychiatry at the George Washington University School of Medicine. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania and completed my psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Jacobi Medical Center. My treatment modalities include supportive and dynamically oriented psychotherapy, as well as medication management when appropriate. I also practice criminal and civil forensic psychiatry.

We provide patient statements for submission to insurance companies for all sessions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
Each patient is seen by me either virtually or in office. Initial visit is extended to allow for more information; subsequent visits are usually 45-50 minutes. While I do prescribe medication, I am at heart a talk therapy psychiatrist; there is no such thing as a medication management visit in my practice. I diagnose according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, and we prepare invoices to allow patients to receive reimbursement from their insurance companies, when such are available.
Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $500 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $360 for 45 minutes
