Hello, I'm Sharon. With over 20 years of experience in both mental health and addiction treatment, I am passionate about helping individuals and families navigate their journeys to wellness. As a licensed independent social worker with a supervision credential and a licensed independent chemical dependency counselor, I have dedicated my career to supporting those in need of compassionate and effective care. I hold a master's degree from Ohio University and am proud to serve as a full-time clinical director. Additionally, I fulfill a personal goal by teaching addictions as an adjunct professor at Zane State College. This dual role allows me to stay deeply connected to both the practical and educational aspects of mental health and addiction treatment. My specialties include treating individuals struggling with substance addictions, as well as supporting the family members of those affected by addiction. I also work extensively with clients experiencing anxiety and depression. By utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing techniques, I empower my clients to actively participate in their own recovery process. These approaches foster a collaborative environment where clients can develop the skills and resilience needed to rebuild their lives. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the progress and success of my clients after they have completed their treatment. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing individuals thrive and reclaim their lives. I truly enjoy watching people get well and learn to rebuild their lives.
