Hi there, I'm Sheila! I am here to help! Are you struggling with feeling down, unmotivated, or having a loss of interest in things you typically like to do? Are you having anxious thoughts or overthinking things, and can't turn your brain off? Are you having difficulty managing or maintaining your relationships? My approach I approach therapy in a client-centered way, allowing clients to direct their own path to growth and/or healing and set their own goals, and provide a non-judgmental, compassionate space for clients to talk out their feelings and thoughts. My focus Clients who struggle with depression, loneliness, stress, and anxiety, family/relationship challenges, life changes, grief and loss, career difficulties, trauma, adult ADD/ADHD, marital issues, and many other mental health challenges. My communication style I offer a non-judgmental space for clients to feel safe and supported while working towards their goals. My journey to mental healthcare As I learned about my natural skills, personality style, passion for mental health, and helping others heal, I knew this was the career for me. Over the years, I have found much reward in helping clients walk through current and/ or past challenges in a safe, authentic, and empowering environment as they find their own healing/ growth path. My goals for you Clients will develop their own goals and objectives based on their needs/desires for change, which can be changed or supplemented during the course of therapy. My first session with you In our first session, we will get to know each other at your own pace. I will be asking quite a few questions, but you don't have to share anything that you are not ready to share. We will end with setting reasonable, achievable goals for yourself.
