Dr. Sriram Viswanathan is a licensed physical therapist and certified manual therapist currently practicing in NYC. He graduated from Touro University, New York, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. His primary areas of specialty are Geriatrics and Pain Management. He earned his Master of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from Western Illinois University, Illinois, and his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS), India. In addition, he is a certified clinical instructor and has worked with Columbia University, where he instructed and supervised Physical Therapy interns at nursing and rehab centers affiliated with the university.
Dr. Sriram received a Master certificate in Manual Therapy from Hands On Companies and is certified in Mulligan Manual Therapies. He also holds certification in Chaitow's Naturopathic Techniques from Hands On Companies. These certifications have enhanced his expertise in myofascial release, strain counterstrain, positional release, muscle energy techniques, joint mobilization, and trigger point therapy. Additionally, he prescribes natural remedies to manage neurological and musculoskeletal pain.
For over a decade, Dr. Sriram has been treating arthritis, musculoskeletal and neurological problems, as well as traumatic and postoperative conditions, using cutting-edge therapeutic techniques and evidence-based naturopathic approaches. I am extremely pleased and thankful to the physical therapists at this facility. Time is taken to welcome and chat with me, and I am addressed by my name which makes me feel comfortable. Time is taken to listen to my questions and feedback if given. I am amazed at how quickly I’ve progressed after my surgery under their guidance. The compassion and understanding is top notch. I am happy to come to therapy because the reception that I receive from the receptionist makes me feel welcomed and valued. I would recommend them to my friends, family, and co-workers. Another factor is it’s close to my home. Appreciate you all!

Dr. Rami is phenomenal! He listens to my complaints about my pain and targets the spots of my body to reduce (if not take away) the pain completely. He is the best!!

Booked an appointment and then got there to find out they require a referral. It should not be possible to book an appointment without a referral if a referral is required. The office staff said they called me, but they absolutely did not. I have no missed calls on the morning they said they called and no voicemail. Total waste of my time. ??

The location is accessible by bus or vans. Wait time was less than 30 minutes including paperwork. The therapist listened and then explained the things that would be done with a time frame. Then got to work. I am satisfied with the service. I felt much better walking out than when I walked in.

I'm overwhelmed..I had this pain in my right shoulder down to my upper elbow ..Saw Dr Sriram yesterday and Lord he definitely knows what he went to school for..Guys no matter what when you step in his office no matter how long you wait ..He is worth the wait.
