Getting to know Dr. Sudhir Gadh
“If you pay a premium for a service, it should be effective and efficient.” My aim is to provide clients with an engaging and devoted experience as their doctor. A major source of frustration for me in mainstream psychiatry is overprescribing-medications to manage symptoms and others to address side effects. If you're interested in a better, more holistic approach, reach out.
I take a "pills and skills" approach, treating medications and minerals as the brace, and other interventions like CBT, DBT, and lifestyle tailoring as the physical therapy. Consider me an emotional fitness trainer. Let's get to work to improve both income and health outcomes.
Sessions are long enough to include talk therapy, 24/7 access is provided via direct phone or text, and a full array of treatments is available.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed my Psychiatry residency at the State University of New York, Stony Brook.
Please note that I am no longer in network with any insurance providers. Fees are to be paid at the time of service, but I am happy to assist with out-of-network reimbursements.

I felt as though Dr. Gadh was very unprofessional and judgmental. He made several very arbitrary assumptions about my life, without taking the time to get to know me, that made me uncomfortable. He also kept me waiting a long time for the appointment, and ended the appointment early. He did not know my first name, and addressed me by the wrong last name. Overall, I did not have a good experience and I will be re-scheduling my follow-up with another doctor.

Dr. Gadh rushed to a diagnosis and gave me more medications than another doctor, who I saw after this appointment, deemed necessary. He seemed to want to convert me to his lifestyle rather than listen to my problems.

He was an amazing doctor and understood me as soon as I walked through the door. I look forward to my treatment plan with him and weekly visits for over a month. He made it very clear to me that it takes 21 days to start a new habit

I've been seeing psychiatrists for over 10 years. I've lived in New York for a year and have been hesitant to find a local psychiatrist because the idea of finding a doctor here is overwhelming. I finally sat down to do my research and have to say Dr. Gadh lives up to every positive review and more. I tend to be a book worm. I have read literally hundreds of books on my condition, research articles, but I obviously lack the training to apply it. With our first conversation I was blown away by his ability to simplify all the jargon I've read into one acronym and literally hit the nail on the head describing my greatest issues (very detailed) without even having spoken for that long. He definitely knows what he is taking about. He's not looking to prescribe and move on like many psychiatrists I've seen. He wants to work towards a lifestyle change and that's beyond refreshing. I'm genuinely looking forward to our next session. No amount of books can teach me what I learned from him in 30 minutes. He also just has good pure energy. And that makes the world of a difference.

I highly recommend Dr.Gadh, he is truly remarkable at what he does. I am absolutely pleased with the overall experience of having him as my psychiatrist. I have been contemplating treatment for years and seriously researched doctors for quite a while before I met him. It was a very long, stressful, and overwhelming process looking for the right doctor and trying to figure out what was best for me. To make the process even more complicated, I wanted to find a surgeon that had experience specifically with ADD Treatment as I am suffering from the disease. I had been to many consultations within my home country (I'm from Germany) and after I moved to NCY, also in the States.
Dr. Gadh has been the first one who made me feel comfortable opening up about my condition, he's understanding and very patient, has lots of experience and I really feel that he wants to help me and is not only getting his "job done" during our meetings.

Dr. Gadh doesn't care about treating you. He's just out to make money. Will put you on all types of drugs other psychiatrists wouldn't touch so you have to go back to him constantly to get prescriptions.

Was not at all pleased with my visits to Dr. Gadh. He rescheduled appointments frequently and even forgot one of our appointments (that he had rescheduled) and then did not answer the phone when I called to find out what was going on. That combined with several other unsavory behaviors that were shockingly unprofessional doctor have guaranteed that I will never visit him again. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

My visit with Sudhir Gadh went exceptionally well and we were able to meet the following day that I booked the appointment. He saved me a trip down to Pennsylvania while I was in NY and effectively wrote the prescription I required.
