Hi there, I'm Teresa! My name is Teresa Rodriguez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in School Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I focus on building my clients' strengths. Together, we challenge those aspects that may cause or have caused a decline in their lives for a better tomorrow. We regain focus and direct our attention to our more positive attributes. My approach I tailor my approach to each client through differentiation using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. My focus I concentrate on Anxiety, Depression, Change of Life, Grief, Divorce, PTSD, Stress, and Self-esteem, to name a few. My communication style I believe in the power of encouragement and staying positive. Our Zoom meetings feel as if we were sitting in the same room. We will be at work and in the moment during our sessions. My journey to mental healthcare My goal in high school was to become a counselor, having had a wonderful counselor who made sure we always knew how to better ourselves and reach our goals. I have always admired counselors and therapists from a young age. Helping people is rewarding both as a career and as a person. My first session with you During our first session, I allow my clients to give me insight into their initial challenges. We set goals together and discuss the approach to moving forward as a team.
