What should a new client know about working with you?

As a first-generation American with immigrant parents, I understand the importance of cultural connection and its impact on our lives. Growing up in Miami's diverse community instilled in me a deep appreciation for individual experiences and the strength it takes to navigate life's challenges. My background includes working with high school students in an underserved school, where I witnessed firsthand the power of resilience and the importance of social-emotional well-being. This experience inspired me to pursue my Master's in Social Work. Post graduate experience includes addiction/substance abuse treatment, intensive psychiatric treatment, group work, family therapy, and working with patients affected by cancer.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in the potential of every person and utilize a strengths-based approach, partnering with you to achieve your goals. You are the expert in your own experience, and I am here to support you in becoming your best self. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to help you develop coping skills and cultivate inner peace. My specializations include couples therapy (helping partners navigate communication challenges and strengthen their bond), family therapy (supporting families in creating healthier dynamics), anxiety, and depression.
